Technique

On acrylic paper he starts off pencil-sketching his figures, unbiased like a child, restricted by his knowledge of anatomy and perspective. They are human figures with animal features, or are they animals with human features? They simply are what the viewer wants to see!
These figures are then, as is the background, coloured with acryl-paint. A colour interaction arises spontaneously or is inspired by impressions from day-to-day life. With acrylic felt-pens he decorates the figures to his own liking and feelings. In combination with his ‘shadows’ and subtle lines he finally introduces movement to the composition, by which he completes his work of art in colour, line and motion.

He doesn’t add titles or names to his works. It is his firm belief and vision that everybody is allowed to see what he wants to see. The first owner will determine the name for the object acquired by him or her and that name is everlasting.

Ad’s works of art originate without pre-studies; they arise spontaneously.
